Mount “Goyezen” 2025

Built through layers of texture paste and oil paint, this 80 × 100 cm work captures the commanding presence of Mount Goyezen in Azerbaijan’s Gazakh region. The mountain rises with a proud, almost sculptural force—its cliff-like structure softened by a thin veil of greenery that clings to its surface. Surrounding hills and open fields unfold in vibrant greens, scattered with wild mountain flowers and flashes of red poppies. This contrast between rugged form and living color gives the landscape both strength and tenderness. Long regarded as a symbol of the region, Mount Goyezen stands as a quiet monument to endurance, identity, and the deep bond between land and memory.
