About Nera Art Studio

Hi, I’m Nazrin Bakirova-Jabrayilova — an artist, dreamer and founder behind Nera Art Studio.

My connection with art began in childhood — it was my space of freedom, expression, and imagination. I found magic in colors, shapes, and the way a simple brushstroke could express what words could not. It was serving also as a pensive of my emotions and feelings containing them for me. Over the years, life took me down different paths. I earned bachelor and masters degree in a field that never felt like home, and spent six years in the corporate world — achieving success, gaining independence yet feeling a growing emptiness inside as was getting distant from my true self.

One day, I realized that the little girl who used to draw until the world faded away was still waiting for me. So, I listened. I left behind the career that never felt mine and chose to follow my true calling — to create, to paint, to become who I was, and always meant to be. That choice marked the beginning of a deeply personal journey of rediscovery and growth. With every brushstroke, every mixed colors met an empty canvas I shed the layers of who I was told to be and rediscovered who I truly am. My art became my freedom, my voice, my way of belonging. Each creation I make carries a piece of that transformation — a reminder that it’s never too late to return to yourself.

Today, I work primarily with mixed media, combining texture art, oil paints, acrylics, ceramics, and other materials to create pieces that are both tactile and expressive. Each medium allows me to explore new dimensions of emotion and storytelling, and every creation reflects my belief that art can both ground and transform us. Through my brand and art studio I created, I invite you to be part of this journey. My creations meet kindred souls — people who see, feel, and connect with the stories behind every color and canvas.
